Mastelli has been operating in Sanremo since 1952, bringing a strong experience in scientific research through an integrated process that includes R&D and the production of medical devices, dermocosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Our pharmacological activities focus on two active ingredients: polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) and ciclopiroxolamine
PDRN
PDRNs (polydeoxyribonucleotides) are DNA fragments extracted using patented methods, originally sourced from trout gonads, and are known for their tissue-regenerative activity.
Biological Mechanisms:
- They stimulate fibroblast proliferation
- They promote re‑epithelialization and collagen formation
- They activate receptors involved in regenerative processes
Clinical Applications:
- Repair of skin lesions and connective tissues
- Acceleration of healing processes in wounds, ulcers, and burns
Ciclopiroxolamine
Ciclopiroxolamine is a topical antifungal agent, available in cream, emulsion, and cutaneous solution, as well as in specific gynecological formulations.
Indications:
- Treatment of cutaneous fungal infections such as tinea (e.g., athlete’s foot)
- Conditions of the scalp, like pityriasis versicolor and seborrheic dermatitis
- Gynecological use in Candida infections (e.g., vulvovaginal candidiasis)
